About Insurance

Econo Campers provides you with free comprehensive insurance cover on all hires. This applies to all eligible hirers 21 years of age and over.

A Bond/Excess of NZ$1,200 is payable and details of a credit card will be taken to cover this. The Bond also covers a fuel and cleaning deposit and is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed drop off depot, on the due drop off date, in a reasonably clean condition, with no damage incurred to the hire vehicle or third party property, and with a full tank of fuel and empty toilet cassette* and waste water tank.

Reducing the NZ$1,200 Excess is an option

Pay Econo Campers an additional NZ$12.00 per hire day (maximum NZ$720 any one hire) when you collect your vehicle and we’ll reduce the Bond/Excess to just NZ$250.
